Getting Started

Set Up Your Digital Signage Player in 3 Steps

Install the Pickcel player app on any supported device, pair it to your account, then push content from the cloud dashboard. Most deployments are live within 15 minutes.

01
01

Install the Pickcel App

Download the Pickcel player app for your device's operating system. Android and Fire OS users install from the Pickcel Console or the app store. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS apps are pushed directly to commercial displays via the Pickcel dashboard. Windows and Linux users run a standard installer.

02
02

Pair the Device to Your Pickcel Account

Every device generates a unique pairing code at first launch. Enter that code in your Pickcel dashboard to claim the screen. The screen is then registered to your account and visible in your device list. This pairing step takes under two minutes.

03
03

Publish Content from the Cloud CMS

Assign content, playlists, or layouts to the screen from your Pickcel dashboard. Published content streams to the device in real time. Set schedules, apply location-specific content rules, or push emergency announcements to individual screens or entire groups from the same interface.

What Pickcel's Digital Signage Player Software Does

Pickcel's player software delivers six core functions from a single cloud dashboard: remote content management, real-time updates, scheduled playlists, multi-screen management, offline playback, and device monitoring.

Remote Content Management

Control every screen in every location from a single browser-based dashboard. Add, remove, update, and organise content without physical access to any device. Permissions and access controls let you assign screen management to site managers without exposing global settings.

Real-Time Content Updates

Push content changes that appear on screens within seconds. Ideal for price updates in retail, emergency announcements across a corporate campus, or menu changes in a QSR chain with multiple locations.

Scheduled Playlists

Set content to appear on specific screens at specific times. Day-parting rules, date-range scheduling, and location-based content targeting are all configured from the same dashboard, with no programming required.

Multi-Screen and Multi-Location Management

Manage hundreds of screens across multiple sites from one account. Group screens by location, department, or display type, then target content to groups or individual screens with equal ease.

Offline Playback

If the internet connection to a player device drops, Pickcel continues playing the last downloaded content from local storage. No black screens, no interruptions. Content resumes syncing automatically when connectivity is restored.

Remote Monitoring and Device Alerts

Monitor the online status, uptime, and content playback of every registered screen from the dashboard. Receive alerts when a device goes offline, a screen stops playing content, or a scheduled update fails.
